Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced finance professional to support the administration, compliance, and acquittal of complex funding arrangements with a state government department.

This is a casual part-time position with flexibility in how your hours are worked. Working within a high-performing team, the role will focus on financial analysis, documentation review, internal control support, and the preparation of funding submissions and acquittals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the preparation of financial acquittals in line with funding guidelines and governance frameworks.
  • Collate, review, and verify supporting documentation for funding claims.
  • Conduct financial reviews, including analysis of general ledger and supplier financial data.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal processes, systems, and controls.
  • Monitor the progress of claims and assist in ensuring submission deadlines are met.
  • Identify and escalate financial risks or issues that may affect funding compliance.
  • Prepare financial reports using Excel and other reporting tools for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Demonstrated experience in claims processing, funding administration, or financial assurance roles.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within strict timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate compliance risks.
