Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely handling of materials, inventory, and shipments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in managing a team of warehouse staff. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct team members to achieve business objectives.

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide effective leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, ensuring that all warehouse operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Shipping:

• Ensure accurate receiving of incoming goods and verify them against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  
• Prepare and dispatch goods in a timely manner to meet customer or production requirements.
  

Inventory Management:

• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage orders.
  
• Conduct daily cycle counts, investigate stock discrepancies, and escalate to warehouse lead.
  
• Coordinate cycle IN/OUT, initiate write-off request and stock movements.
  
• Label, organize, and store products in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.
  

Warehouse Safety:

• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  
• Operate forklifts, high-reach, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  
• Prevent accidents by adhering to safe working practices and procedures.
  
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement controls to minimize hazards.
  

Team Leadership:

• Assign tasks to the warehouse team on the floor and optimize manpower utilization.
  
• Complete warehouse operator's timesheet (UKG vs Chronos).
  
• Ensure the warehouse/logistics operators are trained and signed off per their defined levels.
  

Logistics Support:

• Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  
• Collaborate with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues or delays.
  
• Overlook Warehouse operations in night shift by working in night shifts ideally once or twice a fortnight.
  
• Ensure all logistics activities are conducted safely by internal and external teams as per company policies.
  

Experience / Training:

• Knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Suite will be an added advantage.
  
• Material handling equipment such as electric tuggers and forklift/high reach (Forklift license necessary).
  
• High-reach experience preferred.
  
• RF scanner experience essential.
  
• Physical handling of raw materials and items around the plant.
  
• At least 3 years of experience as team lead with a proven record.
  

OHS Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all OHS policies and procedures.
  
• Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
  
• Report all hazards, accidents, and incidents immediately to respective Team Leaders.
  
• Ensure that personal protective clothing and equipment is worn and used to perform the job safely.
