About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable lifeguards to join our team at the Mackay Aquatic Recreation Complex. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons and maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment around our pools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons
  • Monitor and maintain the pool area, including the pool deck, surrounding areas, and facilities
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our goals and objectives
  • Communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and management
Requirements
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) certification
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card - QLD Working with Children Check & National Police check
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current Pool Operations Certificate (highly regarded)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
