Job Title: Investigative Analyst

Location: Adelaide, South Australia

Job Description:

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport seeks an experienced Investigative Analyst to join our Compliance, Investigations and Prosecution Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating breaches of various Acts, including the Motor Vehicles Act 1959 and Passenger Transport Act 1994.

This role involves a diverse range of investigative responsibilities, including preparing statements, undertaking external enquiries, conducting interviews, and compiling briefs of evidence in support of administrative decision makers and prosecuting authorities.

The Investigative Analyst will work closely with other team members to identify and investigate breaches, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improvement. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate breaches of various Acts and regulations
  • Prepare statements and reports for administrative decision makers and prosecuting authorities
  • Conduct external enquiries and interviews
  • Compile briefs of evidence in support of prosecution or administrative actions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Investigation techniques qualification (or equivalent)
  • Current driver's licence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
