Job Role: Disability Support Worker

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support to individuals under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Dubbo. This casual position requires compassion, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those with disabilities.

1. Personalised Support: Provide tailored assistance to individuals with disabilities according to their individualised NDIS plans.
2. Daily Living Assistance: Assist clients with daily activities while promoting independence and community participation.
3. Life Skills Development: Support clients in developing life skills, including personal care, household tasks, and social interactions.
4. Behavioural Strategies: Implement strategies to address challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes for clients.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on client progress and any incidents or concerns.
6. Engagement and Communication: Engage with clients in a respectful and person-centred manner to understand their needs and preferences.
7. Service Quality: Deliver high-quality support services that align with the goals outlined in each client's NDIS plan.
8. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, families, and other service providers to ensure holistic care for clients.
9. Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements related to disability support services.

To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience in providing support and care for individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its processes is highly regarded.
