This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations by automating processes, maintaining and optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring seamless continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

As a skilled DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in a small but growing DevOps function. You will work with various teams to improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of their systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to incidents with root cause analysis and post-mortem reports.
  • Optimize and ensure the scalability, availability, and security of production systems.
  • Implement system monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Manage containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in DevOps.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Likely to hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
  • Virtualisation technologies.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools.

Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Familiarity with version control tools.
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
