Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of a small fleet of trucks, ensuring compliance with NHVAS legislation.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance requirements, including breakdowns, repairs, and technical support.
- Manage records, planning tasks, and forecasts to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Interact with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to Company policies and procedures.
- Trade qualified in heavy commercial vehicles.
- Experience in vehicle or fleet maintenance, with a strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Current HR and Forklift license.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol testing.
