About This Role

This is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing financial transactions, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in managing financial systems. They will work closely with the Finance Officer to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions Management:
    • Oversight of daily financial transactions across all bank and stripe accounts.
    • Accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Management of the full accounts receivable process, including invoicing and monthly follow-up on outstanding invoices.
  • Payroll Processing:
    • Timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for both Golf NSW and JNJG.
  • Statutory Compliance:
    • Preparation and lodgement of all legal and statutory obligations, including BAS, payroll tax, and superannuation.
    • Preparation and submission of the annual Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) return.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting:
    • Monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts.
    • Assistance in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including budgets and forecasts.
  • Affiliation Fee Management:
    • Leadership of the annual collection and processing of affiliation fees from affiliated Golf Clubs on behalf of Golf NSW.
  • Audit Support:
    • Assistance with the preparation of documentation and response to auditor requests as needed.
  • Policy & Compliance:
    • Maintenance and update of financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Ad Hoc Duties:
    • Performance of other duties and ad hoc financial tasks as required to support the Finance team and wider organisation.
