About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Employment Coach who is committed to delivering individualized and person-centered employment support services for our Workforce Australia participants. Our diverse team comes from various backgrounds, and we are looking for individuals who have the life experience to connect with employers and build sustainable outcomes for our clients.
Key Accountabilities:
- Foster strong relationships with Employers, Community Groups, Health Care Professionals, and Advocacy Groups to ensure our clients receive high-quality holistic support.
- Negotiate and develop individually tailored employment pathway plans that maximize independence, employment, social, and life skills.
- Engage, prepare, and address jobseeker vocational barriers to employment by negotiating education, training, and work experience activities in line with skill shortages and local labour market opportunities.
- Support the brokerage of job placements and post-employment support to enable clients to achieve sustainable long-term employment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in employment support services or related mental health/community sector is highly regarded but not essential.
- Knowledge of local community agencies and ability to identify and coordinate a range of appropriate services for clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated exposure to challenging conversations with clients, stakeholders, and employers.
- Ability to demonstrate self-reflection, resilience, and accountability within a dynamic case management role.
- Excellent prioritization and time management ability with a strong resilience capacity, and calmness when working in a dynamic target-driven environment.
We may require employees to work outside of normal business hours on occasion and will be required to hold a current driver's license. All successful candidates will be required to obtain a police clearance and hold relevant working with children/vulnerable people clearances.
