Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team at 11 Recruitment. As a prominent recruitment agency, we specialize in connecting top talent with leading companies in the construction industry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for precision metal fabrication and welding for construction projects. This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 p.a plus super, for a 38-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, align, and secure metal components using callipers, rulers, clamps, welding machines, or other metal working tools to produce parts and assemblies for various construction projects, specifically focusing on steel.
  • Operate cutting tools and machinery such as saws, shears, and grinders to cut, bend, and straighten metal pieces as required in steel fixing and construction projects.
  • Weld or join metal components using various welding techniques (such as MIG, TIG, arc welding) to create complex structures or components in line with project requirements.
  • Examine fabricated components to ensure they conform to specifications, adjusting, or corrections as necessary to meet high-quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and comply with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects, while adhering to safety protocols and best practices in the construction and metal fabrication industry.
  • Interpret assembly instructions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in metal fabrication and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position.
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
