Advanced Underground Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Advanced Underground Systems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to work with a high-performance team supporting Underground Operation, Maintenance, and Technology Teams.
This position offers a 7 days on 7 days off day shift/night shift roster, with FIFO from Adelaide, DIDO/BIBO, and Residential options available.
Key Responsibilities- Support Daily Operations: Assist in the execution of daily technology maintenance activities across all critical underground equipment and networks.
- Influence Team Culture: Contribute to creating a positive technology team culture that aligns with BHP's Charter Values.
- Provide Expertise: Offer subject matter expertise to support teams in resolving priority issues and implementing innovative solutions.
- Build Relationships: Establish strong working relationships with operations and support functions to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Train and Develop: Assist in training other site personnel as required to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Identify Opportunities: Identify and implement initiatives that contribute to potential business value.
- Simplify Production Systems: Standardize and simplify production systems, including critical controls, to minimize safety, risk, volume, or cost impacts.
- Ensure Operational Continuity: Minimize disruption to operations resulting from network and communication system-based activities.
- Resolve Technical Queries: Address technical queries from teams, projects, and customers promptly and effectively.
- You will hold a degree with an electrical/electronic background or have started your career with a communications trade and are looking to further your skills.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Work Management: Ability to work to a schedule and manage workloads to deliver key outcomes.
- Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to Safety: Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
- Background in Networks: Background in networks (industrial would be an advantage) and associated equipment and architecture.
- Infrastructure Solutions: Ability to translate user and business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solution architectures.
- Testing and Deployment: Assist with testing, deploying, and commissioning quality technology infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Engage the capabilities of the entire organization and build effective working relationships within your own team and external customers.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
