As a Support Worker, you will provide individualized support to people with disabilities, empowering them to live their best lives and achieve their goals. You will work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement personalized plans that promote independence, social skills, and community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning
  • Facilitating community connections through outings, social events, and activities that promote engagement and enjoyment
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with family, friends, and services to ensure ongoing support and connection
  • Participating in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or related field
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a home-based setting
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
  • Capacity to meet physical requirements, including manual handling tasks
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality, with high standards of professionalism
