About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Support Practitioner to join our team at Mansfield Autism Statewide Services.

As a Behavioural Support Practitioner, you will work closely with families and children with autism spectrum disorder to provide intensive support and coaching.

  • Assist families in identifying their child's strengths and building on these.
  • Help parents set realistic, functional, and measurable goals for their child/children.
  • Develop practical programs in the home and provide support to help achieve them.
  • Coach parents in best practice strategies using a hands-on approach.
  • Work collaboratively with all services and supports involved with the client.
  • Implement individualized positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) across all environments.
What We're Looking For:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Teaching, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Early Childhood Teaching, or Developmental Educator.
  • Approved as a Behaviour Support Practitioner through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
