Software Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integration and adherence of quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and requirements.
  • Perform API development as needed for the business.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place.
  • Perform regression testing, integration testing, and system testing to verify software changes and enhancements.
  • Analyse test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity and software quality assurance.
  • Produce relevant documentation including management plans, specifications, test plans, and test cases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on cybersecurity or asset information systems.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and QA best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, vulnerability scanning tools, and security testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and techniques, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications to perform the job role.
