Job Opportunity

NSW Health Pathology is offering a traineeship opportunity in laboratory skills. The role will provide on the job training and support attendance at TAFE, working towards gaining a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.

This traineeship will commence in early February 2025 and will be a full-time position, five days a week. As part of this opportunity, you will gain experience in laboratory support and specimen reception services, assisting laboratory staff to deliver a patient-focused service.

You will also have the chance to develop your skills in pathology and science, as well as contribute to creating better health and justice systems every day.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Performing laboratory support and specimen reception services
  • Assisting laboratory staff to deliver a patient-focused service
  • Developing skills in pathology and science

**Required Qualifications and Skills**

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A willingness and desire to undertake on-the-job training in laboratory skills
  • Ability to attend the Registered Training Organisation and work towards obtaining a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills
