The Opportunity

This is a full-time permanent position as a Senior System Integration Engineer based in either Canberra or Adelaide. You will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team working with various stakeholders for projects across the Joint & Air Domains.

Your primary focus will be on delivering outcomes contracted for the project, building the value of the KEY-team brand with the client, and maximising opportunities for business growth within operating rules applicable to the MSP. Close coordination and alignment with other EWIS-JA Projects, as well as the capability manager, is essential to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Test and Evaluation: Develop test plans, strategies, and procedures to assess system performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • System Requirements Analysis: Analyse system requirements to create verification and validation criteria, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Test Activities: Conduct test activities, monitor conditions, and collect accurate data for analysis.
  • Test Results Assessment: Assess test results, prepare detailed reports, and recommend system improvements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify risks associated with testing and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues discovered during testing.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience as an Engineer, with a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the full lifecycle of systems integration and test processes.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, test, and evaluation, ideally within defence.
  • Previous involvement in complex defence projects, including systems integration, field testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing test plans, with a focus on verification and validation.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management, particularly within high-stakes environments.
