Job Summary

This leadership position oversees the E7 Sustainment Program, ensuring its business rigor and alignment with the E7 Cored PIO priorities.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage program activities, including planning, scheduling, change management, project management, and enabling functions.
  2. Evaluate and improve work integration across levels within the E7 Sustainment Program and with the E7 Cored PIO.
  3. Collaborate with the E7 Sustainment Leadership Team and the E7 Cored PIO Leadership Team, while liaising with internal and external customers.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated high-level management skills, including customer liaison and business awareness.
  • Extensive experience in finance, scheduling, production control, trade controls, intellectual property management, metrics management, quality, subcontracting, and procurement.
  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related field, such as Program Management, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Significant experience in managing sub-contractors and understanding contracting mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of financial, contracts, and trade control management for large Defence industry projects.
  • Familiarity with project management best practices and principles.
  • Able to effectively interact with company and customer representatives.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for a Secret level security clearance and satisfaction of ITAR requirements.
  • High-level leadership and people skills, with the ability to identify and develop high-performers.
  • Able to navigate complex change management and lead through it.
  • Skilled in addressing performance issues and managing difficult conversations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interaction with staff and key internal and external customer groups.
  • Experience in a military or commercial aerospace environment.
Security and Eligibility

Candidates must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements. A Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) may be necessary to perform this role.
