Job Role:
Sustainability Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay current with the latest sustainability developments, particularly circular economy, waste reduction and sustainable packaging.
- Provide technical support to sales teams during tenders and day-to-day communication.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify sustainable products and packaging formats in line with regulations.
- Work with stakeholders to meet APCO requirements.
- Support operations teams to reduce on-site waste through technical advice and awareness raising.
- Develop partnerships with suppliers, customers and the waste industry for product stewardship schemes.
- Prepare content for external communications including strategy reports, fact sheets and case studies.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Environment or related fields.
- 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Excellent analytical skills with data interpretation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of sustainability trends and issues.
- Initiative: Monitor and manage time effectively.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
