The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at JPS Medical. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced anaesthetist to provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Hospital

Our hospital is a 160-bed facility and is the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community. The ICU is an 8-bed Level 2 ICU, and our general case mix of patients may include: trauma patients, sepsis and multi-system failure, post-operative complications, unstable angina/AMI, cardiac failure / arrhythmias and respiratory failure.

The Location

Our hospital is located in a beautiful coastal town with a vibrant shopping district and stunning natural surroundings. The local countryside is renowned for its produce, and you can enjoy award-winning cheese at the factory outlet and taste whisky at the cellar door.

Requirements
  • Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience
  • On ANZCA training program approaching Fellowship
  • Hold the FANZCA
  • IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ, as well as interested candidates from South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia.
  • IMG's with a confirmed ANZCA interview date
  • IMG's already assessed by ANZCA and found to be substantially comparable.
