Job Description

This role is responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions within the business, supporting the Management Accountant and CFO in financial report preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Updating 13-week cashflow file for daily transactions, ensuring a comprehensive view of company finances.
  • Completion of various balance sheet reconciliations for monthly management reporting, providing critical insights into company performance.
  • Invoice entry for steel procurement invoices, facilitating smooth cash flow and revenue recognition.
  • Debtor receipt creation, enabling timely payment processing and reducing outstanding balances.
  • Payroll processing and STP lodgment, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely payment to employees.
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly payroll tax reporting, maintaining accurate records and minimizing tax liabilities.
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly BAS reporting, ensuring compliance with tax obligations and transparent financial disclosure.
  • Preparation and lodgment of quarterly BAS for related party entities, adhering to tax laws and regulations.
  • Preparation of project profitability budgets, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Preparation of the annual insurance review documentation, ensuring adequate coverage and risk management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Business/Accounting (or equivalent) is required. VCE completion is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Outlook, Project, Excel). Good communication skills and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Able to work as part of, and lead a team under pressure, personal drive, initiative, and resourcefulness are highly valued.
