Disability Support Worker

The Disability Support Worker will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities in the Ararat area. Their primary responsibility will be to facilitate access to community events and social outings, thereby encouraging confidence, communication, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate access to community events and social outings
• Encourage confidence, communication, and community participation
• Support engagement in activities that match individual interests
• Promote independence and emotional well-being
• Communicate regularly with the Beyond Health Services team

Requirements:

• A friendly and approachable demeanor is essential for building rapport with clients
• Passion for inclusion and community involvement is highly valued
• Able to maintain clear professional boundaries and respect client autonomy
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative to drive projects forward
• Previous experience in disability or community support is preferred but not required
