Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Special Projects

Our client is a global leader in the development and implementation of advanced detection and security screening technology. They are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team in the South Asia region.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at customer sites across the region. This will involve significant travel, both domestic and international, including to countries considered high-risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service, maintenance, and installation of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, repair, test, and adjust equipment as required.
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales/project staff.
  • Maintain technical skills and develop technical knowledge.
  • Liaise with Company factories and support staff as required.
  • Work closely with 3rd party service providers.
  • Maintain appropriate technical licenses, security licenses, and security passes.
  • Provide basic safety and operator training on completion of any installation or new works.
  • Exercise every available measure to control and minimize costs.
  • Regional support travel on overtime beyond work hours may be required.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements:
  • Electro-mechanical qualification or equivalent technical training/experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a minimum 2-3 years' experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Be a self-motivated and proactive individual with a high level of initiative and desire to succeed.
  • Advanced level of oral and written English to be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders in various parts of North and South Asia region.
  • Due to the security industry requirements, to be successful in this role you would need to be able to pass all the relevant security clearance processes, imposed by the customer and/or site.
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask several projects at once.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Self-starter, being able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Clean drivers license.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain relevant security clearance and industry-related licenses.
  • Valid Passport for International travel.
