Vertex is a dynamic and innovative biotechnology company driven by a passion to transform the lives of people with serious diseases. We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in providing strategic financial leadership to the Vertex Australia business, working closely with local business leaders to drive growth and success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining accurate financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions
  • Providing insights and analysis on sales and revenue performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize business operations
  • Supporting the development of the regional finance strategy and contributing to global projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in finance, accounting or a related field, with experience in a similar business partnering role
  • Proven ability to think strategically and provide insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial planning tools, with exposure to Hyperion, SAP BPC or OBIEE an advantage

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and annual leave. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including:
