The Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team in Adelaide. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, including set-up and pack-down, as well as managing the bump-in and bump-out production schedules.

You will also be responsible for supporting and leading a team of approximately 30 onsite crew, working closely with the Venue Manager to ensure the successful execution of events. Additionally, you will be involved in staff recruitment, training, and development, as well as management of F&B operations, including ordering, invoice entry, and stock control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, including set-up and pack-down
  • Managing the bump-in and bump-out production schedules
  • Supporting and leading a team of approximately 30 onsite crew
  • Assisting with staff recruitment, training, and development
  • Managing F&B operations, including ordering, invoice entry, and stock control
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a management/supervisor position
  • Previous experience in Food and Beverage and customer service
  • Previous cinema or event management experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading a casual workforce
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards work
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to take ownership and problem solve
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • SA Drivers Licence
