Role Overview

This senior pharmacist position is based in the emergency department, where you will be working closely with an established team to provide clinical pharmacy services. Your role will involve providing high-quality care and leadership within a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, including leadership, supervision, and management responsibilities. You will be responsible for supporting patient and medication safety through patient-centred care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • You will work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide effective and efficient services.
  • Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to apply critical thinking to the clinical decision-making process.
  • You will also have a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to your own professional development and learning.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills, and abilities:

  • Qualifications & Registration: Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience: Extensive hospital pharmacy practice experience, including leadership, supervision, and management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge & Competence: In-depth knowledge of pharmacy practice, relevant codes and standards, with the ability to educate, train, and drive service improvement.
