About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manager Program Management Office to join our team at the Public Transport Authority. As a key member of our Office of Major Transport Project Delivery, you will play a critical role in delivering high-value and complex major transport projects that improve the wellbeing of current and future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and strategic leadership for our complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Work closely with the Project Directors, Director Infrastructure Services and COO to offer high-level insights and manage all aspects of Program Management Office (PMO) activities.
  • Develop and implement robust data collection systems to produce program reports.
  • Drive innovation, optimisation, and automation within the PMO to enhance project outcomes and deliver business value.
  • Lead resource planning, financial management, and performance tracking across all project activities.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in managing complex infrastructure projects, with a deep understanding of PMO management, financial, risk, and reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated senior management experience in multifaceted businesses or Public Sector organizations, with strong leadership, planning, budgeting, and strategic direction skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex messages clearly and concisely, ensuring effective two-way communication with stakeholders, and skilled in strategic negotiations.
  • Capable of integrating professional expertise to enhance organizational performance, with innovative problem-solving abilities and up-to-date industry knowledge.
