Job Description: Senior Legal CounselAs a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services that support HESTA's commercial arrangements and operations.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of key legislation and standards, including the Superannuation Industry Supervision (SIS) Act, APRA Prudential Standards, and the Corporations Act.
- Providing strategic and practical legal advice on legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory notices.
- Identifying and managing legal risks arising from legal developments, regulatory focus areas, changes in law, and judicial decisions.
You will also develop, review, and negotiate legal documents to meet HESTA's legal and regulatory risk management requirements.
About You- Extensive experience in regulatory or litigation matters, including responding to regulator notices and document discovery.
- Up-to-date knowledge of superannuation laws, including the SIS Act, Corporations Act, ASIC regulations, and trust law.
- Strong corporate governance knowledge and advanced contract negotiation skills.
