About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Systems Auditor to join our team at BSI Group. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for conducting on-site audits against relevant standards and providing expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct management system audits in accordance with BSI requirements and our client promise.
  • Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the audit decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frame.
  • Lead audit teams as required, ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with clients and within the team.
  • Establish and develop an effective partnership with clients, securing the commercial relationship and encouraging opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.
  • Plan and schedule workloads to make the best use of own time and maximize revenue-earning activity.
  • Coach colleagues as appropriate, especially where those members are inexperienced assessors or unfamiliar with clients' business/technology, and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.
  • Maintain and develop auditor skills and technical and management system standards knowledge.
  • Provide technical support for sustainability projects and products, including ISO 14064, ISO 14067, Green House Gas (GHG), Carbon Footprint, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and other relevant Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) based national and international standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in auditing organizations or products to evaluate their performance in relation to their sustainable development goals.
  • Provide technical support to clients through business development, sales, and customer service staff.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for BSI, promoting our services to clients and helping them optimize their business performance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a relevant industry or discipline, with a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and systems.
  • Experience with working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards (preferred).
  • Auditor with ISO standard knowledge in ESG and GHG (preferred).
  • Experience with quality management and/or environmental/health & safety management (preferred).
  • External/third-party management systems auditing experience (preferred).
  • Commercial understanding of industry compliance.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and excellent time management/planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and travel on business intensively.
  • Enthusiastic and committed team player.
  • Good public speaking and business development skills (advantageous).
