The Opportunity: Driver Development Coordinator
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced Driver Development Coordinator to join our Resources & Industrials team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering effective and safe training to both new and existing drivers across the Victorian region, with potential travel to support interstate operations.
We seek an individual with a solid understanding of road regulations, vehicle operations, and safety standards, complemented by strong communication and interpersonal skills. If you are passionate about enhancing our nation’s supply chain, we encourage you to consider this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance with chain of responsibility legislation.
- Conduct regular assessments of driver competencies, addressing all aspects of driver performance, including human factors and vehicle presentation.
- Provide ongoing training to drivers to maintain consistent service standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that customer needs are met safely and efficiently.
- Utilize both formal and informal methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Act as a mentor and leader for drivers through formal evaluations and coaching sessions.
- Engage in the implementation of innovative strategies and technologies to enhance business growth and continuous improvement.
About You:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Possession of an MC license.
- Familiarity with NHVL mass management, fatigue management, and road transport regulations.
- Strong influencing and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various sites.
