We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic Corporate Tax team at BDO Australia.

About the Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with 6-8 years of Australian tax experience to take on a challenging position in a professional services environment. You will be part of a collaborative team that takes a holistic approach to tax advisory work, covering all aspects of the Australian and international tax spectrum.

As a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing advisory and/or compliance services to our clients ranging from medium-sized businesses to multinational corporations. Your duties will include:

  • Providing tax advisory and compliance services to clients;
  • Working closely with Partners and other senior managers on key client matters;
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies for clients;
  • Maintaining and improving tax knowledge and skills;

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Australian tax law and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and be open to new ideas and approaches.

About You

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • 6-8 years of Australian tax experience gained from working in the tax practice of a Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm or law firm, or other relevant corporate background;
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Law (Taxation);
  • Solid research, writing and analytical skills with an interest to develop these further;
  • A collaborative, innovative and inclusive working style;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A passion for tax and a desire to stay up-to-date with changes in tax law and regulations;

We offer a competitive salary package of around $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and a range of employee benefits. If you are a motivated and experienced tax professional looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
