We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Assistant in Nursing/Midwifery to join our Candidate Pool in the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.
About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing/Midwifery, you will provide vital support to Enrolled and Registered Nurses in administering general care to residents and patients across various facilities in the Yorke and Northern Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care for patients and handle basic technical duties such as preparing for nursing procedures, sanitizing equipment, and managing local inventory levels.
- Maintain a safe environment, both physically and culturally, for both patients and staff.
Requirements
- Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
- Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health-related disciplines: Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or such other nationally recognized courses approved within the healthcare setting.
