About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Department of Engineering Technologies at Swinburne University of Technology. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting research on marine corrosion and biofouling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of research projects related to marine corrosion and biofouling.
  • Conduct laboratory and field tests relevant to marine corrosion.
  • Develop and apply analytical techniques relevant to corrosion studies.
  • Mentor and guide junior researchers in their research projects.
Requirements
  • A PhD in a relevant area such as metallurgy, corrosion, chemical engineering, chemistry, marine science/biology, microbiology, physics or other associated discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing laboratory and field tests relevant to marine corrosion.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and apply techniques relevant to corrosion studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
