About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Assessment Planner to contribute to the assessment and determination of development proposals and subdivision certificates. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and determine development applications and subdivision certificates, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders on planning and development matters.
- Mentor and support junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Represent the Council in the NSW Land and Environment Court, providing expert evidence and testimony.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Planning.
- Demonstrated senior experience in the assessment and determination of development applications and/or senior experience as a planning professional.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a NSW Local Government environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
Remuneration
The successful candidate will receive a commencing salary of $103,939.00 per annum, with progression up to $120,314.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation. Access to a Leaseback Vehicle or Motor Vehicle Allowance is available with this position.
Selection Criteria
The selection criteria for this position include the ability to assess and determine development applications and subdivision certificates, provide expert advice and guidance, and represent the Council in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
