The Role

We're seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Australian team, based in Sydney or Melbourne. This role will report directly to our Marketing Manager and support the local marketing department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing content strategies to drive brand awareness and relevance in the Australian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate, develop, and execute local content stories to enhance Polestar's brand presence in Australia, including video production, photography, news articles, and website landing pages.
  • Maintain and optimize our website daily, ensuring ad-hoc website changes, SEO optimization, and supporting the Marketing Manager and Product Manager with new vehicle launches.
  • Oversee CRM project management, handling customer lifecycle journeys, new vehicle launch, and event communication materials, as well as other ad-hoc projects in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.
  • Manage the Polestar Australia local monthly customer newsletter, ensuring localization according to local requirements.
  • Create and manage the Polestar Australia content calendar, including ideation, creation, and publication of materials aligned with events, campaigns, product launches, and wider local storytelling and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Polestar Digital and Retail teams locally and globally to request, create, and execute front-end changes and improvements to the digital sales journey, including new features, content updates, and retail campaigns.
  • Support local marketing and PR events, including event administration (invites, RSVPs, website) as well as assistance on-site and other tasks as required.
  • Provide activity reporting, creating and maintaining a reporting structure for content, campaigns, and event activity.

Requirements

You possess a keen interest in the digital, technical, and production side of marketing. You are as happy constructing customer emails in back-end systems and website CMS as you are concepting and executing local content pieces and photo shoots. You are an organized and proactive team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to jump into new challenges both big and small.

This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent stakeholder engagement skills and adaptability in your mindset and approach. From time to time, this role may also involve interstate travel and weekend availability.

For this important role, we seek a candidate who can bring:

  • A business, media, or communication degree with a focus on marketing/communication/advertising or PR, ideally from a technical perspective.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Fascination with advertising, CRM, e-commerce, and the contribution of marketing to business success.
  • Previous digital marketing experience either client or agency side.
