Position Title: Project EngineerKey Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all onsite technical matters, including construction verification works. This role involves scheduling, monitoring, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate the efficient operation of a multi-discipline workforce and ensure compliance with design, safety, quality, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
RequirementsEducational Background: A Bachelor's degree in civil or mining engineering is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction or similar projects, with advanced MS Office skills, expertise in interpreting technical documentation, good contract comprehension, planning and reporting capabilities, and strong communication skills.
Essential Competencies- Proven experience as a Project Engineer
- Familiarity with Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and WHS Legislation
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Decision-making and leadership skills
- Time management and organization skills
- Commercial acumen including cost reduction and budget adherence
- Verification of subcontractors' claims and variations
- Develop construction methodologies, required documentation, programme, and SWMS for given packages
- Lead the delivery of FRP works packages in coordination with the project team
- Oversee construction methods implementation onsite
- Monitor productivity and cost daily, weekly, and monthly
- Procure permanent materials/Subcontracts
- Ensure clarity of responsibilities for Site Engineers and subordinates
- Manage construction planning and subcontractors effectively
- Develop QAQC Lot Maps
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities for project delivery
- Prepare, schedule, and monitor assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to codes, practices, QA/QC policies, and performance standards
