Job Overview
The Defence Logistics Engineering Lead manages tasking for the Logistics Engineering and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) personnel within the AIR6500 Integrated Product Team.
This includes planning logistics engineering work packages, coordinating technical studies, developing ILS plans and reports, and leading workshops with customers.
You will be responsible for meeting contractual requirements and providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Engineering Planning: Plan and coordinate logistics engineering work packages within the program's Agile framework.
- Techical Studies Coordination: Coordinate the development of technical logistics engineering studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts.
- ILS Plan Development: Develop and compile ILS plans, studies, and reports as required contractually.
- Workshop Leadership: Lead workshops with customers to define and tailor the Logistics Engineering and LSA programs.
- Contractual Compliance: Meet all contractual requirement obligations, including compliance to standards, certification, and assurance to support system design certification.
- SME Guidance: Provide SME advice and guidance to stakeholders across the company with respect to Reliability Engineering and LSA matters.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Extensive ILS Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of ILS process, procedures, and the overall engineering product lifecycle.
- Defence Experience: Extensive experience in Defence or similar projects requiring logistics engineering and LSA activities to be performed.
- Leadership Skills: Advanced experience leading successful outcomes in a large delivery team.
- Technical Guidance: Significant experience providing effective technical guidance, mentoring, and training to other employees.
- Contractual Process: Advanced experience working and leading contractual processes and deliverables.
- Critical Thinking: Advanced ability to apply experiential judgement and lateral approaches to complex problem-solving.
- Adjacent Disciplines: Knowledge of adjacent ILS disciplines, including training and publications – associated methodology, techniques, standards, and certifications.
- Australian NV-1 Clearance: Active Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data, and information.
