Medical Reception Role

We are seeking a skilled medical receptionist to join our organization in Wagga Wagga. The position is full-time, working Monday to Friday with shifts between 7:30am – 8pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Communication: Answer emails and phone calls promptly and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Billing and Insurance: Manage billing procedures for private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.

Once fully trained, you will have the opportunity to also be trained as a Contact Centre Agent. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Phone Support: Answer inbound phone calls for appointment bookings.
  • Patient Preparation: Advise patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
  • Schedule Management: Effectively manage the appointment calendar.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Effective Communication: Possess clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Abilities: Demonstrate strong organizational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
  • Technical Proficiency: Show confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Exhibit excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer Service Experience: Possess experience in customer service or medical reception.
