We are seeking an experienced Db2 Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring and managing Db2 databases.

  • This role requires a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a zOS Db2 DBA, JCL and REXX is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in deploying, configuring, managing and tuning Db2 databases.
  • Experience with Db2 Z System Admin and Db2 Z Database Admin is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Db2 Z cloning, IBM Db2 Tools such as Recovery Expert, Administration and Automation Tools, and knowledge of Db2 Z in a data sharing environment is required.
  • The candidate should also have knowledge of System Z storage structures and hardware.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role, including the ability to mentor and transfer skills and experience to client staff.
  • Ability to integrate quickly into a team environment is crucial.

Australian citizenship and Baseline security clearance are mandatory for this position. The role may involve occasional travel to the client site.
