We are seeking an experienced and skilled transportation professional to join our team as a Heavy Combination Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about driving and logistics. As a Heavy Combination Driver, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers and other stakeholders on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for picking up freight from customers and delivering it to destinations across the country, ensuring that all goods are securely loaded, unloaded, and transported in accordance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent our company professionally while picking up and delivering freight.
  • Ensure freight is securely loaded, unloaded, and transported safely.
  • Adhere to scanning and Proof of Delivery procedures.
  • Respect our company's Occupational Health and Safety policies and customer practices on external sites.
  • Manage consignment paperwork and manifests at pick-up points.
  • Pack freight safely and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A current Heavy Combination license (manual preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving a truck.
  • Experience in pick-up and delivery of general and express freight.
  • Experience with radio communications systems preferable.
  • Load Restraint Systems & Equipment experience desirable.
