We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team at AirTree Ventures Pty. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations and driving our growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial contracting strategies to support our business initiatives.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to our sales and product teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our GTM teams to develop strategies to support their initiatives.
  • Lead a team of legal professionals to review and negotiate contracts with customers.
  • Maintain a culture of self-service where possible, focusing on complex legal matters.

Requirements

  • Extensive commercial and contracting legal expertise, including supporting sales teams at technology companies.
  • Law degree with admission to at least one state bar.
  • Experience managing a team of lawyers.
  • Solutions-focused, risk-aware, and not risk-averse.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a collegial attitude.
  • Able to prioritize and effectively set and balance expectations.
