Caregiver Position Available in Ballan Residential Facility

Mecwacare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team at our Ballan Residential Facility and Medical Centre.
About the RoleThis casual position offers generous salary packaging options, allowing you to increase your take-home pay. As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and quality of life are maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to residents with a focus on individual needs and preferences;
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement resident care plans;
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of resident care and progress;
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff to maintain open relationships and resolve issues promptly;
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Individual Support;
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in Aged Care;
- Availability to work AM and PM shifts, weekdays, and weekends;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to older people and their families;
- Ability to understand and implement resident care plans;
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate concerns as necessary;
- Time management and multi-tasking skills, with a focus on delivering best practice care;
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organisational policies and procedures;
- Able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and demands;
