About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Ovolo Group. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage General Manager in the daily operations of our restaurant and bar functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the F&B General Manager in ensuring rostering is compliant with business demands and budgeted manning guides
  • On-board and train new and current staff, providing ongoing support and guidance
  • Handle reservations for both restaurant and bar, responding to all guest requests and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Bring a creative element to the venue, working closely with the F&B GM to curate quarterly promotions and drive sales growth
  • Monitor daily sales, ordering, and costs for the venue, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure smooth venue operations and functions, including kitchen team management and menu development
  • Coordinate regular team meetings, briefings, and shift handovers to maintain effective communication and ensure a high level of service is provided to all guests
  • Ensure high-quality presentation of all food and beverages delivered to guests, maintaining a clean and safe working environment

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the hospitality industry. You will have a deep understanding of food and beverage operations, with a preference for plant-based knowledge. You will also have previous experience using Micros and a valid QLD RSA certificate. As an excellent communicator with a positive attitude, you will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.
