About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Quality Department as an Associate Director Quality (Patient Safety).

You will be responsible for leading contemporary patient safety practices, supporting quality systems relating to patient safety and driving a just culture and learning culture to support high-quality, safe care.

You will work closely with other senior leaders in the department to develop and implement strategies that improve patient outcomes and reduce harm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient safety initiatives and strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce harm.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on patient safety and quality improvement issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient safety and quality improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in a similar role or at a senior level within a tertiary healthcare setting.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a related field, preferably at Masters level.
  • Relevant industry experience and proven ability in building high-functioning teams.
  • Excellent communication, preparation of reports and presentation skills.
