Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize their mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong installation, maintenance, and repair skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment such as crushers, conveyors, pumps, and screens.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Perform mechanical fitting tasks including assembly, disassembly, alignment, and adjustment of components and machinery.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and departmental staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training or Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualification.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • HRL Forklift (hold or able to obtain).
  • Dogging ticket (advantageous).
  • Rigging ticket (advantageous).
  • Experience working in a similar workshop role.
  • Safety, Health & Environment awareness, and experience.
