About this Opportunity

This role is pivotal in building a more inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools it supports.

The successful candidate will play a key part in promoting equity and excellence in education across the state.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate statewide events to promote equity and excellence in education.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and students, driving positive outcomes.
  • Manage financial investments, overseeing funding allocations and ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop effective communication frameworks to engage with communities, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Nurture partnerships with stakeholders across the state.
  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver impactful programs and support regional success.
  • Provide high-level written reports, briefings, and submissions as required.
  • Analyse data to inform evidence-based decisions and present findings statewide.
  • Maintain a strong governance process, understanding challenges and barriers within processes.
  • Respond effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Possess a genuine passion for advocating opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, students, and their families.
  • Apply strong project management principles to deliver results.
  • Coordinate culturally appropriate consultation processes with communities.
