Obstetric and Gynaecological Registrar

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Obstetric and Gynaecological Registrar to join our team at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with consultants and specialists, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

• Patient Care: Manage the care of inpatients and outpatients, ensuring timely and accurate discharge summaries.
• Clinical Handover: Provide effective handovers at shift changes and during clinical transitions.
• Discharge Planning: Initiate discharge planning early, coordinating with patients, carers, and GPs for post-discharge care.
• Leadership & Education: Engage in clinical leadership, contribute to quality improvement, and participate in training and educational programs.

• Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent, with registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and empathy skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; competency in routine procedural skills.
• Experience: Appropriate post-graduate experience and knowledge of contemporary medical practices and safety principles.
• Registration: Current AHPRA General Registration or AHPRA Limited Registration at Level 3 or higher.
