Job Overview

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of sustainable and equitable infrastructure solutions across Queensland and Australia.

This role involves designing solutions for clients in mechanical services engineering (HVAC) across a range of industries, leveraging human-centered design practices to deliver projects that benefit communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to shape thoughtful, effective solutions in buildings and infrastructure development, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enabling the sustainable and equitable development of infrastructure across Queensland and Australia.
  • Designing solutions for clients in mechanical services engineering (HVAC) across a range of industries.
  • Leveraging human-centered design practices to deliver projects for the benefit of communities.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Leading teams of multidisciplinary designers to deliver coordinated solutions.
  • Enabling the development and progression of junior team members as a day-to-day people leader.
Requirements:
  • A relevant engineering degree and experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC).
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ, via the BPEQ) or as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng, via Engineers Australia), or equivalent.
  • A strong ability to shape thoughtful, effective solutions in buildings and infrastructure development.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a wide range of people.
  • A willingness to question the status quo and offer new perspectives.
