Senior Associate

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Litigation Specialist to join our team. This role will involve overseeing a diverse caseload of professional indemnity and general liability claims, ensuring exceptional client representation and successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Australian tort law, civil procedure, and relevant legislation. They will also have proven ability to effectively mentor and supervise junior lawyers, fostering their growth and success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and managing a diverse caseload of professional indemnity and general liability claims
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior lawyers
- Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practising certificate
- Minimum 5 years' post admission experience in liability or professional indemnity, with experience in insurance policy advice and coverage disputes
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively
