Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar to join our team at the South Metropolitan Health Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

  • The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert obstetric and gynaecological care to patients across all stages of pregnancy and childbirth

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Conducting thorough assessments and investigations to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals

  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of patient interactions and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)

  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia

  • Relevant postgraduate training and experience in obstetrics and gynaecology

  • Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions
