Job Overview

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance and administration functions for a growing international wholesale business in the food import and distribution sector.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations using accounting software
  • Follow up on outstanding payments with the sales team
  • Handle supplier payments, including reconciliations (banks, forwarders, suppliers)
  • Coordinate documentation for freight, trade finance, and customs clearances
  • Liaise with logistics providers, accountants, and suppliers
  • Support stock reconciliation and internal reporting
  • Maintain administrative systems and supplier records
  • Communicate clearly and assertively across departments and stakeholders
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in finance/admin roles, ideally in wholesale or distribution
  • Proficient in accounting software and Australian bookkeeping practices
  • Comfortable with trade finance and multi-party reconciliation
  • Skilled in transactional accuracy and compliance
  • Familiar with import/export documentation and regulations
  • Assertive, proactive, and professional in approach
